IES NCER Offers Meta-Analysis Training Institute

The Institute of Education Sciences (IES) National Center for Education Research (NCER) is accepting applications for the Meta-Analysis Training Institute on state-of-the-art advanced meta-analytic methods.

All applications must be received no later than March 12, 2019.

The Meta-Analysis Training Institute will be offered July 28 – August 3, 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. The goal of the training is to provide researchers with the methodological, statistical, project management, and practical experience necessary to conduct a meta-analysis focused on an important education topic. The workshop is intended to increase the number and quality of studies that use meta-analysis, particularly the number of IES Goal 1 grant applications featuring meta-analysis.

The workshop includes 5 days of training and one day of group presentations. Each day will include 3 sessions and time to work on a group project. The integrative project will provide participants with an opportunity to practice developing an IES Goal 1 meta-analysis research proposal.

For more information, including topics to be covered and application requirements, see the Meta-Analysis Training Institute webpage.
