UFIT Enables Zoom Pro Accounts for UF
UF’s Zoom enterprise (campus-wide) licensing agreement provides a Zoom Pro level account to all faculty, students, and staff with active Gatorlink login credentials. Zoom Pro accounts include unlimited meetings of up to 100 participants, screen sharing, conference recording, and chat. Large group (100+) webinars and dedicated Zoom Rooms are also available at an additional cost. While the Zoom service has been available at UF since last summer, several updates went live on May 13, 2019.
The updates are necessary to complete the transition to an enterprise-level Zoom service and ensure compliance with licensing, the business associate agreement, and university policies and standards.
- Single Sign-On: All users will be automatically redirected to the Shibboleth login page for authentication. Login must be with a “@ufl.edu” address. Anyone using another email address will need to first update their Zoom profile before using their UF Zoom Pro account.
- PHI Site Assignment: All faculty and staff at UFHealth/Health Science Center colleges will automatically be assigned to the UF PHI Zoom site.
