From IES Director Schneider: Update on Topic Areas and Upcoming RFAs
In his recent blog, Institute of Education Sciences Director Mark Schneider has provided an update to his efforts to change research topic areas and RFAs.
See Dr. Schneider’s December 9, 2019 blog article for the full update.
Important information was gathered from the comments Dr. Schneider received. IES will continue to emphasize SEER principles. The size of grants may be increased and fewer grants awarded. Off-cycle grants may be experimented with in the future. Project types will continue to be explored, and researchers will continue to be asked to be explicit about moving to scaling up and testing.
