OER Report of Accomplishments for Fiscal Year 2013-2014
The OER is currently completing a draft of its annual report outlining data on externally funded projects and grants activities. Faculty productivity has been sustained, and efforts toward securing external funding remain active.
The following represents a summary of accomplishments for Fiscal Year 2013-2014:
- COE faculty members in all schools and centers have submitted a total of 70 proposals, requesting $32.2 million in grant funding. Proposal submissions included one to the National Institutes of Health, two to the U.S. Department of Justice, eight to the U.S. Department of Education (including one to the Institute of Educational Science [IES]), six for IES subcontracts, ten to the National Science Foundation, seven to the Florida Department of Education, and two to the Spencer Foundation.
- COE PIs and Co-PIs had 30 new proposals funded totaling over $8 million in new awards, including two awards from the National Science Foundation. This represents a 36.4% percent increase in the number of newly funded awards as compared to the previous fiscal year.
- Finally, COE schools and centers have 70 currently funded projects totaling over $74 million. This represents a 4.5% percent increase in the number of currently funded projects as compared to the previous fiscal year.
