Education Sciences establishes a foundation of knowledge about the different contexts of education, used as a launchpad to propel students into any direction in the field of education.

Elementary Education
The Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education prepares the next generation of educators to cultivate equitable classroom experiences for all children. Students who complete the program are eligible for professional certification in Elementary Education (grades K-6) with both Reading and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) endorsements.

Florida Teaching Minor
The minor requires completion of coursework in the professional preparation areas of human development and learning, assessment, classroom management, instructional strategies, reading competency and curriculum and special methods.
Disabilities in Society Minor
The Disabilities in Society minor provides opportunities for undergraduates in all colleges to enhance their knowledge of disabilities and to recognize the impact disabilities have on the lives of people who experience them and on the people with whom they live and interact.
Early Childhood Studies Minor
The Early Childhood Studies minor is available to undergraduates in all colleges who are interested in issues involving support of early development and learning for young children birth to five.
The Early Childhood Studies minor facilitates understanding of the transdisciplinary field of early childhood studies by exploring the intersections among early care and education, health/mental health, and family support systems.
Educational Technology Minor
Designed to empower teaching and learning in real-world situations, our undergraduate Education Technology minor combines technology, multimedia, learning and design theories with creativity to help you build a unique, high-demand skill set.
The Educational Technology minor is designed for future professionals who are seeking a career in educational institutions, or in business, corporate or industry settings. Master’s
Reading and Literacy Education offers a Master of Education (M.Ed.) and a Master of Arts in Education (M.A.E.) in reading education. Candidates learn evidence-based classroom practices and develop knowledge, skills, strategies, and disposition for supporting PreK-12 students’ language learning, literacy development, and academic achievement. They can pursue either degree online or on campus.

Endorsement
Florida certified teachers who want to add a reading endorsement to their credentials can take five offered courses to satisfy the state requirements. These courses are offered both online and on campus.
Research Evaluation and Methodology
Master’s On-Campus (M.A.E.)
The REM program prepares M.A.E. students to become experts in educational research methodology and analysis of educational data. The M.A.E. program requires the completion of coursework in educational research methodology, educational statistics, and program evaluation.

Master’s On-Campus (M.Ed.)
The REM program prepares M.Ed. students to work on positions that require research design and analysis of educational data. M.Ed. graduates work in positions such as data analyst, data scientist, measurement specialist, and program evaluator.
